We’re in the first week of the new year and I’m making a little headway on some long-delayed projects. Looking back at past accomplishments is my secret weapon for motivation to take on new challenges. These are the most visited new posts from 2016. I shared the most visited posts overall here ~ and these are your 2016 favorite posts on bluwaterlife.
Looking back at these I can remember the things that went well ~ and the things that were ummmm, let’s just say less than inspirational. With that in mind, I’m adding a couple of memories around each of these. As I dig into new things it helps to remember the hiccups along the way, things overcome, and results achieved. And that when all else fails, there is a cocktail on the horizon!
I hope these continue to be favorites, and maybe move up into the all-time list. I so appreciate our bluwaterpals and your support of the blog. 🙂 Y’all definitely like when we eat, drink, and do it with style. The top post from 2016 is a cocktail {shocker!}. Wonder if it will ever overtake the tru blu painkiller which has been the top post since the blog started. Time will tell ~~~
#5 from 2016 ~ Amy Howard One Step Paint
- Loved the results and giving another life to my 40-year-old furniture 🙂
- Could have done without the life-sucking heat when I was working on this in the garage during the summer!
#4 from 2016 ~ loaded potato soup
- Loved this soup I created for the quarterly Ultimate Recipe Challenge that I take part in with other bloggers.
- Wish I could get the same results with fewer steps, but NEVER leave out the bacon
#3 from 2016 ~ fried ravioli appetizer
- Lots of fun doing this with Bluwaterguy on a Saturday afternoon
- Had to remember this is an appetizer, because I couldn’t stop eating them while we were prepping them
#2 from 2016 ~ quick pizza bites
- Love that these ingredients are easy to keep on hand, and I can whip this up in 30 minutes
- Need to remember to check my own recipes even when I’ve made it a bunch of times. Made these recently, did not check my own recipe online, and well, they were not my best effort! Lesson learned.
#1 from 2016 ~ pimm’s cup cocktail
- Yep, a favorite summer cocktail ~ and we used our rattan bar cart for bluwaterstyle
- Wish it was as much fun to put things away as it is to get them out and use them 🙂
