It’s the first week of the new year, and as I’m putting away the holiday decorations and thinking about my new year plans, it’s a good time to look back on some of your favorite posts over the past year. Lots of things to eat, a few bits of style, and bluwatergetaway opportunities were all in the bluwaterfave mix. So, in no particular order, here we go ~~~
Southerners are loyal to their family pound cakes. Vanilla, chocolate, sour-cream, lemon, glazed or plain ~ or in my family, MaMa’s Cold Oven Pound Cake!
Most folks have a favorite chili recipe. And on a cold, rainy day or when there is a big game coming up, nothing beats a big pot of chili. This is NOT your basic chili recipe, but it is so worth the extra ingredients!
My fave 30 minute meal ~ Cottage Shrimp and Grits~ so called, because I’ve made it in lots of coastal cottages.
Going out with Captain Dave and Captain Rene Heidt from Sundial Charters on their Little Tybee Unplugged back country tour was truly a highlight during a Tybee Island visit in the spring.
Bluwaterguy’s recipe for Peel & Eat Dockside Shrimp is quick and easy, and it starts with Old Bay Seasoning. Oh and he makes the cocktail sauce too!
My shell decor treasures in this vintage display box ~ definitely one of my favorite things!
My {almost} famous key lime pie! It’s {almost} famous, because it’s my version of the top-secret Margaritaville Key Lime Pie recipe.
You know when you see something unique ~ that special accent that changes a whole look ~ and you can’t get it out of your head? That’s how this DIY bottle cap mirror frame came about ~ blame it on a bar in the Caribbean!
Sometimes necessity IS the mother of invention! In this case, it prompted me to make this DIY knife roll bag.
Open house time at my perfect beach cottage for the bluwaterlife blog anniversary! So much fun to share the finished cottage AND a fresh new look here on the bluwaterlife site. I think this was MY fave post of 2015!
Thank you so much for being our bluwaterpals, and here’s to more bluwaterfun in 2016! Now let’s go get something to eat, and plan a bluwatergetaway, ‘kay?
