We’ve enjoyed such a nice Thanksgiving holiday with Bluwatermom. And we tried a new bluwaterdrink, dubbed the Holiday Moscow Mule ~ which got the thumbs up from all of us! I found the recipe here from Serena Bakes Simply from Scratch, and shared it on the bluwaterlife Facebook page as one of the weekly #ThursdayNightSocial posts.
Bluwaterguy plays bartender when we visit and he set up a holiday bar on a side table in the dining room. He set up to mix this new cocktail along with another fall favorite bluwaterdrink, the Bittersweet Snapper, so there are a variety of bottles, glasses and ingredients in these shots. He did this all on his own!
Using ingredients that are always in the bar ~ ginger beer, cranberry juice, vodka ~ we needed only to pick up some fresh sage for garnish. And the fresh herbs make this drink!
Not only does Bluwaterguy do bartender duty, we tease him he’s also the official bluwaterlife hand model. 🙂
And here’s our official hand model “slapping” the sage to release the aromatic oils in the leaves for the garnish. This gives off the lovely fresh herbal fragrance that sets off this cocktail.
The color, taste and fragrance make this cocktail a perfect addition to the holidays ~ great with traditional turkey and cranberry, but also delicious with simple appetizers. Do check out the recipe from Serena Simple Bakes from Scratch!
We’re definitely adding this Holiday Moscow Mule to the seasonal bar set-up, and I think if you give it a try, you’ll do the same. Just don’t forget to slap the sage y’all and it’s sure to be a happy holiday at your house too!
