We interrupt our regular posting schedule this week ~ because, well, life happens.
It’s been a busy week, though not exactly according to plan. So rather than fretting that nothing is complete and “post worthy” ~ though there’s lots in progress ~ I’ve opted to show the “work in progress” version of this week. Most everything previewed here will end up in a completed post over the next couple of weeks, so stop by again to get the full story, okay? And the funny thing is, there was a bit of everything this week that is my bluwaterlife. Here goes ~~~
On Tuesday we had a fun dinner with long-time friends Karan and Bob, who are in the midst of relocating from New York to Florida. We enjoyed bluwaterdrinks, lots of food at Eclipse Di Luna our favorite local tapas restaurant, and tons of conversation. We compared renovation woes ~ Bluwaterguy’s house restoration and their Florida condo renovation ~ the challenges of moving, and funny stories from past years. It was a great way to start the week.
On Friday we went to the Yellow Daisy Festival, as we have for a bunch of years, for a day of bluwaterfun ~~~
And visited with our favorite vendors ~ some of whom have become friends over the years ~ like Jasinski Brothers Photography. We had dinner with Michael Jasinski Friday night and there will be an interview on the blog soon! Their images are a wonderful way to lose yourself for a moment of zen, and a splash of bluwaterstyle anytime, anywhere ~~~
Earlier in the week, while we were visiting with Bluwatermom over the Labor Day holiday, there was a chance to try out some new bluwatereat ideas ~ like this ice cream cake ~ details coming soon to the blog ~~~
And in between times this week, I snuck in a few minutes with this bluwaterread ~ tropical island adventure in high gear!
The bluwaterjourney aspect of the week consisted of highway driving back and forth between Georgia and South Carolina {with a few views of Lake Hartwell along the way} ~ because my dear Uncle F. passed away this week. He was husband to my Aunt B, brother-in-law to Bluwatermom, and lived a long and wonderful life ~ which comes round to a bluwatermoment.
Aunt B. always described Uncle F. as a “contented man” and that was part of the preacher’s eulogy sermon today. Married for 67 years, content with his life, his family and his faith ~ all a wonderful testament to how he lived. We should all have the opportunity for that kind of contentment. 🙂
Real life happens, and the Universe laughs at schedules and plans. So to use a diver metaphor, stop fighting the surge and just ride it out.
It was a busy week ~ two dinners with amazing friends, a holiday weekend with Bluwatermom, a sunny afternoon at the arts festival, ice cream cake ~ oh, and doctor appointments, lunch with girlfriends, book club voting and planning for our bookie year, next chapter job hunt efforts, renovation planning and blog business stuff ~ which left little time for the usual blog post schedule. But it was a week of bluwaterlife ~ drink, eat, read, fun, style, journey, moment ~ so I’ll just call it a week of “life enjoyed”.
See you next week ~~~

Hey Bobbi – whew, you’ve been busy! Look forward to seeing your completed projects. So sorry to hear of the passing of your uncle. It sounds like he was a contented man – something we can all learn from.

Thanks 2Bees ~ it has been a busy time! I’ve tried to be appreciative as well as busy. I’m still working on contented, and Uncle F. is a good memory to help me along the way. 🙂 Hope you have a happy week! Bwg ~~~
