It’s our Thursday Night Social time ~~~
Happy “Friday Eve” ~ hope you’re having a GREAT week! This is my favorite cocktail hour, and here are some things I’ve seen this week that looked especially good for a classic seaside style weekend!
As usual, let’s start with a cocktail, shall we? Last week, it was all about tiki time. This week for classic seaside style, we need something a little preppy, brunch worthy and definitely easy ~ I vote for a Classic Madras! And yes, it has been my go-to brunch drink for years. 🙂 Cousin to the Cape Code, Sea Breeze and Salty Dog ~ just OJ, cranberry and vodka with a pretty fruit garnish. Love that color!
And for a bite to go along with that cocktail, here’s nice twist on a Classic Lowcountry Boil ~ all the flavors, with less mess serving and eating ~~~
Of course if you don’t mind a little messy eating, you will enjoy Bluwaterguy’s Peel & Eat Dockside Shrimp ~~~
Of course you need some madras in your wardrobe too ~~~
And some seersucker ~~~
And some stripes ~~~
And of course a great beach tote, preferably monogrammed ~~~
And if you forget anything, a fave place to shop once you arrive at your classic seaside destination 🙂 ~~~
Whether you prefer classic seaside, coastal cottage, Caribbean brights or vintage tiki ~ there’s a style for everyone. We’ll check them all out in our Thursday Night Social over the next few weeks, and then it will be spring time for reals and we can start to talk vacations!! Hope to see you next week for our Thursday Night Social ~~~
