My perfect beach cottage is ready for Christmas ~ complete with miniature lights, wreaths, trees, gifts and other goodies!
If you’ve followed for a while, you know my miniature beach cottage has been an ongoing fun project, and it’s in the homestretch now. You can catch up here if you’ve missed parts of the story. 🙂 And this is the newest chapter ~

Sandy the cottage doggie wants to say hello ~
It’s so much fun when things just come together. I knew I wanted to decorate the cottage for Christmas, but was short on time. I’d already bought or made some wreaths and small things, and then Bluwaterguy spotted these mini lights and trees at Target! A turquoise Christmas tree. 🙂 Score!
One Sunday evening putting things in place and I love how it turned out. We laughed and goofed with some of the decorations, but it all fell into place ~ and I do mean fell. The wreaths would not stay in place and every time I was ready to photograph, a wreath would fall off! We did get them to stick in place finally, and here are the photos.

Sandy helped decorate too!
I think decorating the cottage is my new Christmas tradition. For the last few years, I’ve collected and added ornaments to my Mele Kalikimaka trees, and they are pretty much complete. I may find a few more spots, but now I just enjoy them. So this year, it’s cottage time. The photo of Sandy the cottage dog and the Christmas wreath made me laugh out loud!

wreaths, trees, lights, and lots of presents ~
Two trees, a red wagon full of presents, wreaths with turquoise ribbon and lights all around ~ and Sandy standing watch over it all.

Sandy watching over the presents and the tree!

it’s almost Christmas Eve!
I can imagine sitting on this porch on Christmas Eve on my version of Christmas Island, and listening to the ocean. You can see through to my craft table in the background in this photo, but you can always imagine your own favorite background in the distance ~ whether beach, lake or mountains, it’s all good!

and a good night to all!
Hope you are ready for the holiday! I’m not quite done, but plan to finish the last project tomorrow and then just enjoy the next week. I know I will have fun finishing up the last few things on my perfect beach cottage after New Year’s and then photographing the whole house tour. Hope you come back to see the big reveal ~ and in the mean time ~ ho, ho, ho from my Christmas Island to yours!
