We interrupt this week’s regularly scheduled tailgate recipe to just enjoy the moment 🙂 .
Last weekend was the 100th Homecoming at Clemson, and two of my Clemson girls came to spend the weekend. My room-mate and one of our hall suite-mates from back in the day ~ and we all stayed at Bluwatermom’s house.
We spent the day in Clemson on Friday, looking at Homecoming displays, shopping on College Ave and visiting our favorite college hangout. We drove around campus, made several u-turns where streets had changed over time, and talked about what we would have done on Homecoming Friday so many years ago.

our fave college hangout 🙂

it’s lunch time here, but it’s 5:00 somewhere! oh, bartender ~~~
We laughed, talked, took pictures of the always beautiful campus and lots of silly selfies. One selfie moment went like this ~ and we were literally laughing so hard we couldn’t get the picture ~~~
Me ~ Let’s use this new timer feature that Bluwaterguy showed me so we have time to compose ourselves. Here, I set it for 10 seconds ~~~
D ~ Hmmm, this is an awfully long 10 seconds, when is it going to take the picture? I can’t hold this smile any longer!
S ~ I think you still have to press the button to get the picture. Shouldn’t there be something to tell you when it is going to snap the pic?
Me ~ I think you’re right. Let’s try that. Ok, there’s a countdown, we got this! Well, it only took three college educations to figure out this feature that was already personally demo’d for me. Don’t tell Bwguy 🙂

beautiful Tillman Hall from Bowman Field ~~~

thank you class of 1939 🙂

and another winning homecoming display
We went to the game on Saturday, and tailgated as always. We sat in the seats my family has enjoyed for 41 years. That’s a lot of IPTAY contributions over the years my friends! We had too much food, cheered the entire game, and were very tired & very late getting home.

we’ve had these seats since 1973 ~ that’s 41 years!
I rarely do something “for the blog”. I live life and along the way I take photos, save memorabilia and write little notes to myself ~ which later becomes a blog post. This weekend, I just wanted to be in the moment. To savor the time with friends I have known for so long. To laugh about silly things {like what would we do for bail money} and play “do you remember?” while we were tailgating and people watching. To enjoy the PERFECT fall weather. To be in the moment, not looking at a camera screen or trying to capture it for posterity, but enjoying it in real time.

another view of beautiful Tillman Hall ~~~
So there aren’t any recipes or food photos this week ~ or even silly selfies to share with blogland. The whole weekend was a bluwatermoment and that’s how I want to remember it. I mean, after all it was the 100th Homecoming ~ can’t get more special than that can you? Go Tigers!
PS> Quick preview for next week! I’m spending the week at the beach on Tybee Island, where we spent New Year’s. Staying in a beautiful cottage and spending time at the water. There will be lots of photos and if you want to see some in real time, follow along on Instagram 🙂 Yay!

This looks like such a special time Bobbi! I can’t believe you guys have had the same seats for 41 years. That some serious fan loyalty. Loved this post and that you and the ladies got together for some girl time. You rock!

I am seriously going to put our family name on the seats Coco. They are 4 on the aisle, so perfect for a “naming medallion”. We had such a good time 🙂 Nothing like time with girlfriends! Bwg ~~~
