my bluwaterstyle score from Woodstock Market!
You know when something really grabs you and says “take me home”? Of course I’m talking about shopping! Well, this island colonial style chair grabbed me on a recent outing to Woodstock Market, and I did end up taking it home 🙂 .
I’m part of a group of bloggers from Atlanta that went to Woodstock Market last Saturday for shopping and socializing. It’s a real treat to shop the market, and they treated our group super well with a nice lunch and special cupcakes for dessert. Here are a few shots of our group and the market ~~~

such a fun place to shop ~~~

love this cool wall treatment in the entry vestibule 🙂

love the unique storefront set-ups!

each set-up is beautifully displayed!

so many shops with beautiful stuff!

some of our group ~ socializing before shopping

a special treat for our group 🙂
And then I found this ~ dark teak, fretwork, caning, great condition ~ island colonial style just sitting there ~ and saying, “take me home”. AND let me tell you it was a great price! Total SCORE!!

uh-oh, this one is calling my name ~~~
I knew it only needed some new fabric on the seat to be just perfect. I found this sea glass green grasscloth and some marine blue tassels in my textiles stash, and this grasscloth pillow from another chair. (It’s not technically hoarding if you do actually use the stuff at some point, right? That’s what I tell myself.) And here’s the spiffed up result, tucked in next to my weather paint cabinets from an earlier project. It’s a bluwaterstyle match that was meant to be. Guess that is why it called my name!

have a seat in my bluwaterstyle corner ~~~
We had a great time at Woodstock Market and I know I will be back ~ especially for their holiday open house weekend November 7,8, & 9. Maybe I will find some Christmas Island bluwaterstyle to go with my Mele Kalikimaka Christmas trees! Uh-oh, did I just say Christmas?
I refuse to think about summer winding down, with Labor Day just around the corner. I am so glad we get to extend our summer with our Florida Keys road trip starting next week!! I will find a way to ease into the next season. You know ~ spring, summer, football and holiday ~ those are my seasons. Until then I may just go sit in my bluwaterstyle corner for a bit, with a boat drink and a good book. Sounds like a plan!

Oh my goodness Bobbi- I love how you transformed the chair. As a fellow fabric-stash-keeper, it is never considered hoarding. I consider it artwork that I love to admire 🙂 I really love the new fabric and the adorable tassel you chose for your new chair…great job 🙂

Yay, another fabric-stash-keeper ~ thanks Vicki & Jennifer 🙂 I love it when things just kind of happen, and then look like they belong together! ~~~ Bwg
