Now the closest get away destination is the guest room. The hardest part was picking the just right shades of blue!
New seagrass headboard and bedding from Pottery Barn. Bluwaterguy’s family mahogany and marble top table re-purposed into bedside duty. Fresh paint, a vanity seat rescued from a craft fair, various bits and pieces picked up along the way ~~~ and it’s a whole new room.
It’s already been guest approved from a week long visit, and received very nice reviews. It’s also good for a quick nap or short unwind after work ~~~ and you really do feel like you had a quick get away. Without those pesky planes, trains or automobiles.
I could not resist including my favorite, no room should be without, hanging clothes peg board. There is something so easy about hanging your jacket or jams on a peg. It puts me straight into vacation mode. The oar was a find from One Kings Lane that made us laugh. Hey, leave your boat at the dock!
The guest bath is still in progress, mostly done with only a few things yet to do ~~~ so a future posting upon completion. In the meantime, the bluwater guest room is available for friends and family. No reservations required 🙂 .
Just give a ring, and we’ll leave the light on ~ Bluwatergal
