A bit of the Keys for my memory collection ~~~
On our way out of the Florida Keys, we made one last souvenir stop.
I saw this water globe earlier in the week at Theater of the Sea, but held off purchasing until we were departing, and then I could not pass it up. I’ve never found a Keys water globe before that I really liked, but this one seemed right and a good addition to my collection.
Now back at home ~ I’ve unpacked, cleaned and stowed the dive gear, done laundry, sifted through a zillion digital photos and generally returned to the real world. I’ve also found spots to display my souvenirs, shared photos with family and friends, written about our adventures, and spent as much time enjoying the vacation retrospective as we spent on the actual trip 🙂
That’s why I collect things, take photos, write about the memories and share them here. I want to keep the good parts and revisit them when the spirit moves me. There’s a perspective that says “take the good with the bad” ~ my aspiration is to “remember the best and forget the rest”. That’s my antidote to the daily drudge ~ to truly appreciate my “life enjoyed”.
